About

I’ve decided to write my own about page. I’ll drop a few names and try to make it sound impressive but truth is I’m just happy to have anybody listen to my music these days.

I was playing clubs in Hollywood at the age of sixteen. A few of my bands caught the attention of record companies but it never really went anywhere. I’ve worked with Gilby Clarke (Guns n Roses), Johnny Vatos (Oingo Boingo), Roy Hay (Culture Club), Erin Hamilton (recording artist), Gloria Rueben (ER and recording artist), John Stielow (Red Cross), Burt Reynolds (Actor), Rick Dees (DJ), and Steve Silva AKA POP (Pop’s cool love). Wish I could say that they all flocked to my talent but the truth was always less interesting. 98% luck, 1% who you know, and 1% talent.

The highlights of my career were appearing on “Into the Night with Rick Dees”, Opening up for “Bang Bang” (A band I loved featuring Julian Raymond of Hollywood Records), Playing the World famous Troubadour at 16, Placing 13th in a KROQ contest the had over 600 entries, Jamming with Johnny Vatos live, recording with Roy Hay, Receiving radio play on three radio stations simultaneously, playing Tower records to promote Absolute Fiction’s CD, having Burt Reynolds watch my band rehearse and tell me he liked us and that I should also pursue acting, and singing Ashlee on the local TV News station early in the morning.

I have countless fond memories and have put my music aside many times. But after recently recording a new CD with my 80s/90s Saturn Over Sunset, I realized I just love making music even if it’s just for me. So I hope you find something on this site new or old to listen to that you like.

Thanks, Dion
